14 Day Lifefood Nutritional Fast – DAY 5/6 by Jacqueline

DAY 5 and 6 of the nutritional fast were a pretty similar schedule. These few days before the flush day are preparing the liver to dispel stones so it is important that the lifefood consumed is blended. Eating blended lifefood is one of the things that separates this cleanse/flush from any other cleanse or liver flush. It prevents the body from going into a typical detox reaction. I was a little hungry yesterday evening and again this evening. I recognize that it is more about an emotional reaction than an actual “need” for food. This connection to nutritional need is something that has become stronger with a lifefood lifestyle of which I am extremely grateful. :)

5am castor oil pack (30 mins), then some herbs: digest aid, evacuease with slice of fruit. EZ tea to go and apple cider vinegar. Then off to a bikram class before going to work. Drink of epsom salts and baking soda (1 tsp each) in a little water and a squirt of lemon.

9am more EZ tea with coconut butter and stevia as a sweetener.

11am herbs: evacuease, digest aid with coconut butter

1pm Electrolyte lemonade, more ez tea and apple cider vinegar water. I am not feeling very hungry but I am feeling irritated and anxious. Again feel like reaching for food.

3pm herbs: digest aid, evacuease with slice of pear. Apple cider vinegar water.

8pm Made another great lifefood soup

Cauliflower – Fennel Soup

1/2 cauliflower
1/8 fennel bulb with stalk
1/16 onion
1 clove garlic
1/4 pear
sea salt
black pepper
2 tsp curry
2 tsp thyme

Blend everything and then warm until warm to the finger so that you can leave your finger in it. I put some olive oil on top (olive oil every day is important to keep the bile flowing), sprinkle of hemp seeds and curry powder.

Feel tired and anxious. I am going to go to bed early and do a castor oil pack. I think part of my emotional state is from not getting enough rest. One of the drawbacks of doing the cleanse while working is fitting in the rest time. Rest is an important part of the cleanse. The other times I did this I was not working and I was able to rest a lot during the day and get to sleep fairly early. Tomorrow will be another preparation day….
