DAY 9: Liver flush day. Days 7 and 8 continued to be preparation days similar to Days 5 and 6. I continued on a very similar schedule and increased the amount of herbs to create 4 liquid bowel movements in anticipation for today which was the second flush day. This time the amount of olive oil is slightly less as we are flushing the liver rather than the gall bladder. My day started very early teaching a Bikram class and then I decided to do a class. Perhaps not the best idea as this is dehydrating… Today was hectic and I got a late start on the flushing process. I am not getting enough rest and that is an important part of the cleanse. It is actually a good representation of my life. :). Kind of like the yoga class is a microcosm of your life it seems that so is the flushing process. I think you release more stones as you mentally and emotionally become able to let go of things. The liver is related to the emotion of anger and so as you can let go of anger you seem to flush more and vice versa.. Wonderful experience of the connection between the body, mind and spirit.
5am herbs – evacuease, digestaid with slice of pear. EZ tea with chai and a little seed milk and some stevia for the road. Apple cider vinegar water drink. Drank 1 liter of water before class.
Off to BIkram…
11am herbs – evacuease, digest aid with slice of pear. Apple cider vinegar water. EZ tea.
12:30 herbs evacuease, digest aid with slice of pear. Electrolyte lemonade with cayenne pepper.
3:30pm 100 mg niacin. digest aid with slice of pear.
4pm olive oil (6oz) and lemon juice (2oz).Then went to lay down with castor oil pack on the right side. Fell asleep … woke up 1.5 hours later.
5:30pm coffee enema. This was a pretty easy process as I was pretty empty.
6pm herbs. Back to bed for the Castor Oil pack and for percussion and massage of the liver and gall bladder. I ended up staying for 1.5 hrs relaxing.I left the castor oil pack on wrapping it with a garbage bag to keep the oil from getting on everything.
I thought I might want to eat some soup as I made an incredible soup yesterday but I really don’t have any appetite. I will put the soup recipe below which I called Creamy Lifefood Indian Soup.
Next is some more herbs and then another Castor Oil Pack before going to sleep. Hopefully some stones in the morning.
Creamy Lifefood Indian Soup
1/2 butternut squash
1/2 fresh coconut meat
1/4 cup fresh coconut water
3 celery stalks
7 tbsp for a mix of sesame and sunflower seeds
2 teaspoons cumin
2 tbsps curry
1 2in piece of ginger
2 tbsp coconut oil
water to desired consistency
Blend all of the above. Heat until warm to the finger. Serve in a bowl topped with curry, tumeric, a little olive oil, and sprinkle of hemp seeds if desired. It is rich and incredibly delish….
